My Top Morning Habits That Gets Me Focus and On My Fit

Morning is the beginning of the day. How you wake up and your mood depends on how your day turns out. Having a positive outlook when you wake would make your day productive and more productive if you have a great morning routine Checklist.

Creating a healthy morning routine checklist really helped me fast forward my morning chores and remember almost everything I had to do, leaving no stone unturned. In addition, I get to start the day more productive and with positive energy.

In this post, I have detailed my morning routine checklist and how I incorporate it into my daily routine for optimal success.

Why I Needed a Morning Routine Checklist

To get into the habit of living a healthy lifestyle, I needed to stay organized to maximize my productivity. To prioritize my health, stay organized, and reduce stress, I developed this routine and it gradually became part of my lifestyle. I was determined to adopt 6 essential lifestyle practices to help me keep up with my well-being. These reasons led me to create this routine to help me start my day on the right track. Most of these practices are:

  • Making sure I prepare healthy, fresh meals for the day to keep up with my healthy lifestyle practices and have enough nutrients to keep my body’s metabolism working well.
  • Keeping up with my supplements and not missing any.
  • Make time for my workout to keep me energized, reduce stress, and improve cognitive function.
  • Ensure I go to bed early and wake up early to avoid getting tired and losing focus during the day.
  • Creating time to read, educate myself, and complete my assigned tasks.
  • And finally, to find a me-time to relax for self-care and mental reset.

What My Healthy Morning Routine Looks Like

I have varying work shifts, so my daily routine is not consistent. I can’t say if I’m a morning or an evening person. But I always feel energetic no matter what my work schedule is. My daily routine has been beneficial to me and has now become a part of my lifestyle.

I Don’t Postpone Alarm.

I programmed my Voice Assistant, Alexa, to wake me up. When she does, I must wake up. If I stay in bed any longer, it will be a waste of time and mess up with my day especially if I am on a morning shift. Furthermore, sleeping more doesn’t make me feel more rested. I also noticed that the sleep I get after postponing my alarm isn’t productive but somewhat fragmented, leaving me more tired throughout the day. Fragmented sleep can harm your focus, memory, and mood, according to the Cleveland Clinic website.

To Ensure I wake up when My Alarm Snoozes.

  • I retire to bed in the early hours and rise early, even when I have the afternoon shift.
  • Set up my incense to turn on scents of relaxation in the room.
  • Do meditation using techniques from Fitbit premium videos the previous night.
  • Turn off the television and darken my room.
  • Place my mobile device away from the bedside to charge it.
  • Om wake up, my virtual assistant wakes me with positive affirmations and the next music to uplift my spirits.

Drink Water

Many health professionals swear to this tip and seriously, it’s one beautiful habit that has given me so many benefits. After a long night’s sleep, your body is dehydrated and you need to refuel it to get that pick-me-up feeling of energy and flush out toxins. To do actualize this habit, I have my favorite 750ml water bottle filled with water the previous night always by my bedside with the basket of my supplements.

Take My Supplements

My morning Supplements are pills I don’t like missing out. Due to my busy schedule, getting all my nutrients from daily nutrition proves so hard. I take essential supplements that can help nourish my body. So, while I get to drink 750ml water, I use that time to take my supplements as well. Using one stone to kill two birds.

Make my Bed

This is the most beautiful activity of my morning routine on my checklist. I love getting my bed tidy and ready. It gives me the feeling that I am ready for the Day. Freshen it up with My favorite Rituals home perfume. Walk to get the windows open to allow air to get in.

10 Minutes Brief Exercise

This morning routine on my checklist is my go-to to relax my mind, reduce anxiety, restore balance, and keep stress under control.  My 10-minute morning exercise routine includes 2 minutes, 3 minutes of planking, 2-minute squats, and jumping jacks, and 3 minutes of breathing exercises. Some research suggests that practicing this breathing exercise in the morning will help control your daily stresses and improve your mindfulness.

Generally, exercising in the morning can help you loosen up tight muscles and produce an endorphin rush that can boost your mood for the entire day.

Make My Meal Pack

This is also another enjoyable moment on my routine Checklist. I love having fresh meals. Meal prep is to some extent not my thing unless my week is tight. I usually have a salad and a piece of Chicken for a takeaway lunch pack or smoothies, a pudding or oatmeal with some fruit and protein in it.

Getting into the Shower

With all the light sweat from my exercise, showering in the morning gets me feeling fresh and ready for the workday. A warm shower with my ritual sweet orange and cedar wood increases my energy and alertness while leaving my body with the feeling of sweet scents. It feels like having a cup of coffee. Finally moisturizing my body with the sweet scents of rice milk and cherry blossom. Hmm, you must agree with me that this is you embracing the day with so much positive energy.

Get My Makeup Done

My favorite time…getting my face set for all those people I am going to behold for the day while listening to my favorite morning lyrics, is one good feeling that sets me ready for the day. I love keeping my makeup very simple. A foundation, a loose powder, highlights, and some mascara.  Wow! I always look so cool..lol. At least my pictures tell me so.

Freshen Up my Hair and get Dressed

I love carrying braids most time of the year.  I freshen up my braids with some good oil scents and pack them in a way that suits me. Then I get dressed up and yep, Ready and Freed! I get what I wear ready for the previous day because the search for what to wear can waste your time and even make you go late.  So at the beginning of the week, I select the week’s wear and arrange them according to the day. The same goes for my shoes as well.

Wrap up the Morning with your Nutritious Breakfast

Nothing raps up my morning than a nutritious breakfast. That I do on my break time. my body is used to eating between 11 am and 6 pm in the day. This happened because I got used to 18 hours of fasting and now my body has gotten used to it. My favorite is green, coffee, or chocolate smoothies made with fruits and some good proteins. Also, whole foods with protein, healthy fats, and carbs are perfect choices.

Keep Moving

Moving is what our skeletal muscles are created for and we should use them that way to keep them healthy. I don’t stop at taking my breakfast, I keep moving whether I like it or not. My job always keeps my skeletal muscle doing its job. In addition, I also have my daily workout at the fitness and outdoors 4x to 5x a week to keep my body and soul in check.

So what do you think? My routine is not really that difficult to carry out. And with everyday integration into your lifestyle, it will become a daily normal chore in your life. This routine can be life-changing and productive for your well-being. With this routine, you reduce, hassles and stress and enhance and achieve mental clarity for a productive day.
